It might sound simple, but it has taken over 92 years before a major shift in the nail industry has become reality. Now you can join our journey and turn your back on dated and toxic beauty practices in the hand and foot category.
Ida Thern, Love'n Layer founder, embarked on a 2-year journey of innovation, research and development. Love'n Layer, proudly launched in 2021.

As the pandemic spread across the world, Ida Thern was heavily pregnant with her second child. She was advised to remain home until her child was born.
Cancelling her regular visits to the nail salon, Ida began researching an ‘at home’ nail salon experience using regular nail polish. While nail colours were in abundance, she was faced with toxic, chemical-laden products with pungent, unpleasant smells. The end result was a messy, time-consuming method that often lasted for a matter of days, only to require additional chemicals to remove.
It became clear to Ida the nail industry has been stagnant for decades, with little to no innovation. It was time to shift the paradigm in the nail industry with a focus on function, health impact and environmental consequences.

A PERFECT MANICURE OR PEDICURE - THAT LASTS.
Layers is an innovative, pre-set and pre-cut adhesive gel nail polish. Following nail preparation, it takes 3-5 minutes to apply, without mess and unnecessary drying time. Its thin, yet strong, layer supports and protects your existing nail while adding colour and pattern into your life!
Once applied, Layers gain a nice lustre under our gentle UV LED lamp and a maximum durability of up to three weeks. You can find our full instructions on application and removal of layers here and here. A deeper list of product FAQ can be found here.
In 2023, The Skin Wardrobe proudly launched Love'n Layer exclusively to New Zealand and Australia. We have handpicked the popular selection of toe and nail Layers in block colour, glitter, pretty patterns and abstract shapes. Included in the range is Layer nail accessories, designed to shape and set your nails. There is something for everyone and every occasion in our collection!
Personal, SOCIAL COMMITMENT & SUSTAINABILITY
Layers are developed based on Medical Products Agency, Sweden regulation for cosmetic products standards, to avoid unnecessary chemicals in your everyday life.
Say no to nail polish with strong and pungent scents. Layers are perceived as fragrance-free after opening the package and can easily be applied in public. Avoid strongly scented nail polish and nail polish removal with its staining and drying effect on the nail bed and the skin around it.
At Love'n Layer, we always focus on sustainability. We choose materials that are as environmentally friendly as possible. Our Layers are 100% vegan and made of biodegradable material. Our UV Lamp is made from recycled plastic.
We work tirelessly to minimise waste in packaging, manufacturing and production. Finally, we guarantee that no animal testing occurs in the development of our products.
