Designed to build confidence and refine your skills, these private one-on-one makeup lessons offer personalised coaching tailored to your individual needs, lifestyle and goals.

Each practical, hands-on lesson will help you better understand your features, refine your personal style and learn techniques you can confidently recreate at home. You’ll also receive a personalised list of product recommendations selected to suit your skin, preferences and desired look.

Held in the relaxed setting of The Skin Wardrobe Studio, Bridget will demonstrate each technique before guiding you through the application yourself, ensuring you leave with practical knowledge and greater confidence in your makeup routine.

Choose from one of our tailored lessons:

  • ACE YOUR BASE: Master your everyday base, from skin preparation and primer to foundation, concealer, bronzer and blush. Explore formulations and application techniques to achieve flawless base makeup.

  • THE EYES-AND-BROWS-HAVE IT: Take a deeper dive into eye and brow makeup, with a fully focused lesson covering everything from polished everyday definition to an elevated evening or event look, tailored to your features and personal style.

  • EVENING OR EVENT MAKEUP: Learn how to create a more elevated evening or special-event look. Ideal for those who feel confident with everyday makeup and want to take their skills to the next level.

  • EVERYDAY EXPRESS MAKEUP: Learn how to create a simple yet polished everyday makeup look in just 15 minutes. This lesson focuses on efficient techniques and versatile products to help you look and feel put together, even when time is limited.

  • OPTIONAL ADD-ON: FALSE-LASH APPLICATION +$55: Available with The Eyes—and Brows—Have It and Evening or Event Makeup lessons. Learn how to select, position and apply false lashes with confidence while adding the perfect finishing touch to your look.

Please allow 60 minutes for your lesson, plus an additional 30 minutes when the false-lash application add-on is selected.

As a special bonus, all lessons booked during August and September 2026 will receive a complimentary makeup gift, courtesy of The Skin Wardrobe.

We understand that circumstances can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible so we have the opportunity to offer your appointment time to another client.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee of 50% of the service price. Missed or no-show appointments will be charged the full service price.

When more than 24 hours’ notice is provided, any amount already paid can be transferred to a rescheduled appointment.

Please arrive at our studio on time for your appointment. If you are late, we may need to shorten your service to avoid affecting subsequent client bookings. In these circumstances, the full service price will still apply.

We appreciate your understanding and respect for our specialists’ time.

Should I arrive wearing makeup?
We recommend arriving makeup-free so we can begin your skin preparation straight away. Your usual skincare is completely fine.

Do I need to bring my own makeup?
No, everything you need will be provided. You’re very welcome to bring along any products you already use or would like a little help with, and Bridget can show you how to get the best from them.

Is the lesson hands-on?
Yes. Bridget will demonstrate techniques and guide you as you apply the makeup yourself, helping you build skills you can confidently recreate at home.

Can I book a lesson before a special event?
Yes, absolutely. Just keep in mind that this is a relaxed, hands-on lesson rather than a professional makeup application, so Bridget will guide you as you create the look yourself.

With more than two decades of experience, Bridget Jane is one of New Zealand’s most accomplished hair and makeup artists. Her work spans television, film, editorial, weddings, corporate events and red carpets, bringing a wealth of artistry, experience and professionalism to every appointment.

Bridget is also a lead makeup artist on New Zealand’s iconic television series Shortland Street and an experienced educator, having successfully trained aspiring makeup artists and guided clients through private and group makeup coaching.
